Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Artsy Fun at Corks & Crafts

Dinners and cocktails are fun but it's always nice to have a great girl's night out that's interactive! We recently were invited to arrange an event at Corks 'n Crafts for the Vegas Lifestyle Influencers and we loved the idea- while wine and paint classes are always a blast, it's so much fun to learn new skills!

We had our friends who arranged the evening pick out something generic and easy to customize and I have to say, we all loved the results!

There were two wines provided for the evening including rose (what girl's night would be complete without rose) and they brought out some delicious charcuterie platters for us too!

We got to do this fun string art heart that was super user friendly and simple to make our own!

When we sat down, there were tool lists to show us what we would need.

We sanded down the wood first.

Next, we all picked a stain.

After the stains dried, we got to snack!

Applying the nails was fun and easier than expected (and nobody lost a finger)!

Finally, we were taught a few ways to do the string designs.

Finished projects!

Having a little too much fun.

A huge thank you to Corks and Crafts for hosting our event!
As usual, all opinions are my own.

NSPCA Animals in Wonderland at Casa de Shenandoah

I’ve been wanting to go to Casa de Shenandoah for years and was so sad when they closed BUT I still got a peek when the NSPCA event, Animals in Wonderland was hosted on the property!

The event was so much fun and for such a great cause! They had some of the cutest fur babies at the event and I wanted to take them all home!!!

After the welcome reception in the welcome center, we all piled on a shuttle into Casa de Shenandoah.

From here, we hopped onto golf carts that took us to the main house.

This place was beautiful!

We got to tour the inside of the house for a while before stepping outside to the backyard.

The Alice in Wonderland actors were amazing and stayed in character the whole time.

It was so much fun getting to explore the grounds and take photos of everything and everyone!

The sunset was spectacular and the night was so much fun!!

My Favorite Sleep Products

Some of these item were gifted for review purposes; however, all opinions are my own! This post does contain affiliate links so if you make a purchase through the link, I may make a small commission. Even so, all opinions are still my own honest opinions!

Moving is weird. I hadn’t moved in about 15 years so it’s definitely been a struggle. Getting used to a completely new environment is strange and if I’m not motivated to actually fall asleep, I will lie in bed and stress. I invested in a few products to help me relax before bed- I don’t like wasting valuable sleep time! Here are the top things that help me sleep at night-

My new Voila Box mattress. The old one was so soft and foamy so I would sink into it and it didn’t feel great. Roger also had issues with it since his paws would sink in so I would have to carry him to his spot and back. He couldn’t move on it very well and would sometimes trip which was so sad. Our new mattress is super firm and not too thick so it’s easy to get in and out of (especially for me since my feet touch the ground when I swing my legs out). The saddest part is that the old one was over $2k when we got it and it’s so uncomfortable!

This Free People Starry Eyed Sleeping Mask. The cooling gel insert is amazing- especially in the summer heat! My bedroom only has one vent so it gets pretty warm which makes it hard for me to really feel like going to sleep. This mask blocks out all light and feels nice and chilly.

Everyone raves about This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray but I really love it. I got a sample a while back and ended up getting the full size right before the move. The smell is so therapeutic and relaxing.

This Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. My lips crack and bleed a lot when the seasons change and this mask helped keep a lot of that at bay! It smells nice too and it’s not sticky or super greasy.

Another product I heard so much about- Lush Sleepy Cream. For some reason, it smells like gingerbread cookies to me and I don’t know why! I love the smell and it makes me happy which relaxes me so that’s good, right??

My skin gets really stressed lately so I've been loving my Pistache Skincare Lavender Divine Oil. It's great before bed and a few drops in the tub helps too!

Last- sometimes if I’m just really feeling off, I’ll have Alexa play me ocean sounds!

What helps you fall asleep at night?

Fun Ways to Use Dry Shampoo

Summer in Vegas is a disaster. It’s so hard to feel or look nice when it’s 120 degrees outside and everyone outside Vegas is trying to make you feel better by saying it’s a dry heat. That doesn’t matter when your shoes are melting into the ground.

If I had to pick one favorite beauty product for summer, it would be dry shampoo. My dry shampoo gets so much use in the warmer months and here’s why-

The obvious use would be what it’s intended for. Even though it’s gross out, it’s not super healthy to shampoo hair every single day- especially when it’s so dry already. Dry shampoo buys extra time in the day and between washes.

It helps in a pinch if you don’t have deodorant. This mostly applies to the spray version but when it’s a light fresh scent (like Dove), it works almost like a spray deodorant plus it feels dry so you won’t be extra sticky.

It helps with canvas shoes. My Keds feel extra gross in the heat but I love them so a little spritz (or a sprinkle if it’s powder) always helps freshen them up a bit!

It keeps clothes smelling fresher. This is especially great if you pack light when you travel and don’t want to wash something. A little spray on the inside (make sure it’s an invisible formula) helps freshen up clothes that aren’t quite ready for a wash.

It helps lots of areas stay a bit dryer. I like to use a little on the insides of my elbows and knees since I was prone to heat rash when I was little. Powder formulas work too but sprays go on a bit more evenly and keep some of the sweating and irritation at bay!

It helps hair accessories stay better. Asian hair oils up really fast and it’s always a bummer when headbands or clips slide right out. Dry shampoo adds a little texture and grip.

How do you use dry shampoo?
