We went to the London Eye. I cannot wait to go back, it was amazing. Especially at night when everything is all lit up and beautiful. Dinner was at a culinary school, I cannot remember where. Very good, strange area.

Sundaze on Sundays- Thomas Rhett & The Cadillac Three
It's so funny to think about how the entertainment on a regular cruise is compared to the FGL Cruise. I'm spoiled. I can't go back now. lol
After a relaxing afternoon at sea and a fun dinner with friends, I spent my evening split between the Thomas Rhett concert on the pooldeck and the Cadillac Three show in the Atrium. I have to say, it was pretty awesome to see a big stage setup in the middle of the ship atrium. I've always kind of felt like the big atriums were a waste of space but not on this cruise. I got a spot front and center and even got to enjoy the soundcheck.

Throwback Thursday & Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas, bloggers!!!!!
Because it's Christmas, this throwback is a Christmas edition:
The Time I Threw a Really Amazing Christmas Party for My Store
Christmas parties for my first couple years at DB were always potluck affairs at someone's house. While that makes for a warm cozy celebration, it's often awkward and cramped and filled with meeting people and wondering where to sit. By my third Christmas party, I had decided NO MORE.
My manager had put me in charge of arranging a Christmas party. Using my super cool event planning skills, I contacted several restaurants and finally came up with a perfect and economical solution- Grimaldi's. My friend is one of the managers there so we got a great group rate, a private area, and lots and lots of space (and pizza).

London Part 06
So here is my food post.
I ate a LOT in London. There were so many plaes I had bookmarked on Yelp and I think I got to about 90% of them. I scheduled snacks. Yes, scheduled.
Masala Zone and Pizza Express were two really fun and rather inexpensive dinners that were close to the hotel. They're both chains and I love them so much. The Four Seasons pizza at Pizza Express is awesome and the Thali platter at Masala Zone was to die for. They were also along the same street as more patisseries than I care to mention (because I stopped at all of them). Also, Whitleys.
Sunday was one of the days I was most excited about because of the roasts. I love a good Sunday roast. I had two that Sunday, one at Windsor Castle (fun pub in Kensington with tiny tiny doors) and one at Maggie Rose.
Here is a somewhat comprehensive list of the places in the photographs.
P.S. Those Tiddly Vampires were too flippin cute.

Sundaze on Sundays- Hanging with Tyler & BK, Tyler Farr on the pooldeck, random horses
After bingo, we headed back to the room to get ready for our meet and greet with Tyler and BK.
We had all received a scheduled time to show up for the meet and greet. When we got there a bit early, they let us right in and while the line looked insane, it moved super fast. You could tell a bunch of people were nervous but having met the guys before, I wasn't tooooooo fazed. I think one of the best things for me on this trip was having already met all of the artists I really liked so there was no pressure to take pics or anything like that.
The guys were super cheerful and happy and for some reason, our pic took about three times longer than everyone elses'. The photographer had to redo his settings and turn on the flash and I think BK blinked too much (he kept saying "my bad" and "your bad" whenever we had to redo). After the second take I realized I should probably be chatting with Tyler so we made some small talk about what an awesome time we were having. After the early meet and greet they called for everyone to go up to the pool deck for a toast (they sure liked having us all drinking).
We grabbed lunch before the Tyler Farr show. I was right in front in a great spot but I opted to wander the ship a bit. Ran into a couple of my friends and a guy with a super awesome horse mask. I enjoyed the early sunset and a pina colada from an amazing spot on deck (spiked myself).

NFR 2014 Part 02
Happy Saturday, Blog World!
I just got home from Atlanta and I have no idea how I'm going to queue up all these posts for the month. It's probably going to take me until February. lol
I cannot plug one of my fave bands, Old Dominion, enough. They are truly amazing. So amazing that I saw them three times in one week during NFR. lol That's a lot! So check them out or you may even see them when they hit the road with Kenny Chesney on his next big tour!!!
My second concert night of the NFR was pretty chill and easy going. Old Dominion was doing a three night set at the MGM Grand Gold Buckle Zone. One of the things I looooove about NFR is that at least a couple of the larger casinos will have a whole set-up with big screens and concert stages for smaller country acts. I'd never actually been to any of them and this year, I really enjoyed the setup at MGM. Very chill, fun, and a great stage. Since it was the first night, the dance floor was mostly used for dancing (since the crowds had yet to realize it was kind of also a makeshift pit for the concerts) but I got to be front and center. Took a lot of great photos and got to chat and goof off with the band after the show. Definitely a wonderful night!!!

Throwback Thursday
The time the cast of Las Vegas was in Las Vegas.
I used to really love that show.
I was really bummed when they cancelled it suddenly on a freaking cliffhanger! And um, who didn't think Josh Duhamel was pretty adorable at one point or another?
For their 100th episode, they threw a big party at Moon inside the Palms. I found out at the last minute but I still made it over. Not very many people knew they were even there which made it easier to wander over and say hello. Josh was fairly drunk and telling everyone Happy New Year even though it was the end of January. Molly Sims never wandered out of the booth. Everyone was SUPER nice.

London Part 05
The London Harry Potter tour was a lot of fun but got a bit detoured because of Remembrance Day. We saw the Millenium Bridge (hello Deatheaters), the Ministry of Magic, 12 Grimmauld Place, entrances to the Leaky Cauldron, and parts of the inspiration for Diagon Alley. After the tour, we wandered Trafalgar Square a bit.

Sundaze on Sundays- Bingo with Cole Swindell & Thomas Rhett
The title kind of says it all.
We played bingo like little old ladies on our sea day.
I won't even begin to explain the insanity of this. Instead, I will try and impart to you the wisdom that Cole and Thomas shared with us.
When faced with whether or not to swear in the theatre:
"There is a child in here. No wait, childs. That's plural. There are childs in here."- Thomas Rhett
When discussing losing CMA Best New Artist to Brett Eldredge:
"Did you fall in love to the beat of the music, Cole?"- Thomas Rhett
"No, but I did fall over to the beat of the music."- Cole Swindell
When discussing hosting Bingo:
"We were told this was our first ever sold out bingo experience."
When asked to spell refrigerator:
"I don't even have one of those. I have a cooler and ice."- Cole Swindell
When asked about "Girl in a Country Song":
"I don't know about you, Thomas, but when I was writing those songs, I wasn't writing about Maddie and Tae."- Cole Swindell
We also witnessed Cole spilling beer down his leg and drinking Jack Daniels from a travel size shampoo bottle, Thomas doing his best Jason Aldean impression, and Cole trying to punch his bingo numbers in multiple cards. Fun times were had by all.

Birthday Posts & NFR 2014 Part 01
Well, hello there, blog world!
I finally have a second to catch my breath because NFR started last week and I've been out just about every single night. Today is my birthday and it is super slow at work so... blog post!!!
I'll start with the Downtown Hoedown that kicked off the 2014 NFR. It's one of my fave events because it's always on my weekend.
This year's line-up was pretty awesome. While all of the artists were great, I was really just there to see two of them- Old Dominion and The Cadillac Three. If you haven't heard of either band, you've probably heard a lot of the songs their members have written (combined, they've written for Tim McGraw, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, etc). Suffice to say, they're both awesome bands and two of my absolute faves. I missed the Thomas Rhett set since I was chatting with Neil and Jaren from The Cadillac Three when it started but that's totally fine since... well, I've seen Thomas three times this year. LOL Got some great photos and had a great time chatting with the guys before they headed off to Europe. After Old Dominion's set, I asked Matt if they would be playing "Say You Do" at any of their other shows that weekend (they had another three scheduled), a song they had written for Dierks and he said they would (and they totally did). Grabbed some awesome tacos at the Container Park with Mike and enjoyed some fancy chocolates as well. Great night!

Throwback Thursday
The time the girls and I got a table for the after party and Jackson Rathbone yelled at me in a drunken rage.
I told you I'd finish the story. LOL
So this was my last 100 Monkeys show. The show was over on Fremont Street and there was an after party at one of the smaller clubs on the Strip. The girls and I had arranged in advance to get a table and all pitch a little bit for it.
The show was a lot of fun after I got over the initial embarrassment of Jackson saying he needed to go start his set and then walking away to talk to other people until his set started an hour later. The girls and I hung out for a while before the show started and then split up when it was time to head to the Luxor for the after party at Savile Row.
The after party was a lot of fun. The other guys in the band made their rounds, hung out with fans, and stopped by our table to chat several times. Jackson (such a diva) never left his booth. One of the band's roadies came by and hung out for a bit too.
On the way out of the club I noticed Jackson trying to hold up the roadie who had come by. The poor guy looked super drunk and like he was about to pass out. I stopped to check on him and Jackson just started yelling at me and swearing at me. I was pretty pissed; I wasn't stopping to ask for an autograph or a photo or anything at an inappropriate time, I was trying to make sure the drunk guy was okay. Security was heavy, there were a lot of cops around, and people who are that drunk get 86'd from the property. I was worried that the guy might get in trouble because he kind of looked underage and I wanted to see if he needed anything that I could help with. That's all. To get so blatantly mistreated and humiliated was unnecessary. After that, Jackson completely lost my respect.

London Part 04
Harry Potter tour to Lacock and Oxford. AMAZING. Got to see the house in Godric's Hollow, various parts of Hogwarts, and of course, the Great Hall. Also, a wonderful little spot for tea across from the university and a very well stocked Tesco.

Sundaze on Sundays- South Beach & Sailing with Florida Georgia Line
Our last morning in Miami, I decided to visit the colorful lifeguard stands I see in so many photos.
While Kelly grabbed breakfast, I trudged my way down the beach in the sand for some last shots.
We left South Beach before 11AM to get to the port. By the time we arrived, there was already a super long line to get in. Embarkation was not starting until noon so we had a while to wait. I'm amazed at how quickly the line moved once we got going. I may or may not have managed to sneak a large quantity of alcohol past security. I supposed we shall never know.
Kelly opted to go to the pool and I met up with the lovely ladies I had met the night before for some lunch in the dining room. Delicious! Our stateroom was actually considerably larger than I expected and we were welcomed with some Monsters (the charter company definitely knew we would need the energy), a welcome aboard note, and the cutest commemorative mason drinking jars. Add this to the luggage tags we had gotten prior to the cruise and we were getting weighed down with swag. The best (and most useful) piece in the room was our schedule. There were mini tear-off schedules designed to fit in our nametag lanyards. At first I thought this was cute but later realized it was probably the most useful thing all week since I never had to consult the patter or the schedule I saved on my phone.
After the safety drill (which I'm sure was largely ignored by the crowd since most everyone was fairly tipsy already), we all headed up to the pool deck for the sail away show. We all got a shot of tequila (they kept us well liquored) and had a toast before Florida Georgia Line got the show started after we left the port. So amazing having this awesome concert going with the Miami skyline and sunset in the background. One of the coolest memories I have to date.
After the party, I had dinner with my girls and then caught just a couple more concerts (that sounds weird) before heading to bed.

Throwback Thursday
The time they put a skating rink in the parking lot at the Hard Rock.
I swear, 2007 was the most random year ever. That year Hard Rock closed off part of the parking lot (which no longer exists actually) and turned it into a big skating rink. It was actually the first random seasonal casino skating rink we have had I think. Now Cosmopolitan and Venetian do them for the winter season, but Hard Rock did theirs first!
Sitting on Santa's lap is creepy when you're over twelve years old. Just saying. Don't do it.
