Beauty Blogger Brunch at Neiman Marcus

The holiday season is here and with it come some truly amazing events!

Our friend, Christie Moeller (of I Can Style U) hosted an amazing Beauty Blogger Brunch last weekend at the Mariposa Room inside Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show Mall. We sipped some gorgeous cocktails, dined on some really delicious goodies, and got to sample and learn about some fun beauty and skincare products.

The event was a lot of fun! There were seven or eight tables set up around the room with a different brand (or brands) at each table. Small groups of us spent eight minutes at each table before moving to the next one; kind of like group speed dating!

We learned about the new Jo Malone fragrances, tested some fun Laura Mercier caviar sticks, played with Oribe and R & Co hair products, sampled Kiehl's and Fresh masks, learned about the new Tom Ford lip colors, tested Amore Pacific's enzyme exfoliator, sampled Atelier fragrances, and took home some fun Patchology masks!

We also learned about the new John Hardy jewelry pieces and each took home a stone.

The food at the event was absolutely amazing!

There was a tray of the most delicious cronuts (my favorite is the blueberry).

Hashbrown cupcakes are possibly better than regular cupcakes.

Chicken and waffles. CHICKEN AND WAFFLES.
And the most awesome quail egg bruschetta with prosciutto. Yum!

We also got to take home the most awesome swag bags with fun samples, Kiehl's masks, and all sorts of Neiman Marcus goodies like Sugarfina gummies and water bottles!

A huge thank you to Neiman Marcus for hosting this wonderful event!
As usual, all opinions are my own.

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Venetian Masquerade at Mercato della Pescheria

I've always wanted to host a Masquerade Party.

When we partnered with Mercato della Pescheria for a fun end of October event, my first idea was "OMG, we should have a Venetian Masquerade". This was definitely one of the best events we've had with the Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- we got to sample the entire happy hour menu (which is pretty damn fantastic) and enjoy it in the private wine cellar room!

First off- this room is BEAUTIFUL. It's a large square room that seats around 15 and is adjacent to the restaurant wine cellar. It's also in a wonderful, secluded corner so it's very private, event without the curtains being closed. There were 11 of us so we had plenty of space and the table was enormous so we had lots of room for our fun food photos!

We also had some fun creating a themed swagbag- Masquerade Masks!
Or more accurately, sheet masks. We had some amazing sponsors-

Corcell provided the most gorgeous lace sheet masks ever (these were made for selfies)
Bio-Republic sent us some fabulous pomegranate masks (and it's Pomegranate Month)
Lisse provided some really wonderful rejuvenating masks (perfect after a long week)
Biobelle sent us some fun hydrating pieces (so useful now that it's cooling down)
Sugarpova gave us Halloween treats (I'm so obsessed with these Spooky Sour gummies)
Wish Formula provided more of their amazing Bat Eye Masks (Seriously, try these, they're so fun)

We sampled every food item on the happy hour menu-

Olives- Smashed olives tossed with fresh citrus and chili oil
Seafood Croquettes- Crispy panko coated over Calabrian Aioli

Steamed Mussels- Tossed in a white wine and garlic sauce, with housemade chorizo

Bruschetta- Fresh tomatoes, basil, toasted Foccacia, Aged Balsamic and Olive Oil
Crispy Calamari- Lightly breaded with a rustic tomato sauce

Mercato Oyster Plate- Oysters on the half shell

Tuna Tartar- Ahi tuna, cucumber, spiced pistachios and Calabrian Aioli

Everything was delicious and plentiful! Our wonderful server brought out one serving of each item for everyone at the table and then refilled accordingly when we let him know what we liked best!
It was so fun to experience all these fun new items as a group and vote on which pieces we liked best (the seafood croquettes and tuna tartar narrowly won because all the dishes were so good).

Of course, we couldn't resist taking a ton of selfies with our masks!
Fun Tip- A bunch of us got masks at the dollar store!

A huge, huge thank you to Mercato della Pescheria for hosting our event and to Ava Rose Agency for setting up this wonderful dinner! Another big thank you to Corcelle, Bio-Republic, Lisse Hydrogen, Biobelle, Sugarpova, and Wish Formula for gifting us with so many great goodies for our Halloween treats! As usual, all opinions are my own!

Korean Beauty- Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash

I love Korean Beauty products.

Ever since I partnered with Wishtrend, my skin has gotten so much better! My skin is usually really resilient which is great when it means that it doesn't irritate easily... not so great when it means products have to work REALLY hard to show much impact.

I recently received Wishtrend's Green Tea and Enzyme Powder Wash. I'd never really tried a powder cleanser and I'll be honest- I was pretty skeptical. It took me a few days to actually test it out because I have cleansers I like and I wasn't sure it would even be of interest to me.

I don't say this a lot but I'm glad I was wrong. First, I really love how the powder acted as a very mild (and not scratchy) exfoliant as soon as it touched my skin. It quickly smoothed out in the water and became a really silky cleanser. It rinsed nicely and left my skin feeling so hydrated and smooth that I almost wanted to skip the moisturizer (for the record, I didn't because I live in the desert).

I've been using it daily- it's gentle enough for frequent use but it leaves my skin feeling clean and not stripped. With all of the events and meetings and craziness lately, I'm trying to really take care of my skin and keep it from getting stressed while keeping it clean. This powder wash really helps!

Since it's a brand new product, Wishtrend is doing some great specials to launch it! They have some really fantastic discounts and product bundles until November 16th!

Secrets of Holiday Shopping at Fashion Show Mall

One of the best things about living in Las Vegas is that there are always amazing events. The leader of the Style Writers & Bloggers Group here in town (Christie Moeller from I Can Style U) always puts together the most awesome soirées that are both fun and educational in the best way possible!

Recently, I got to attend the Secrets of Holiday Shopping event at Saks inside Fashion Show Mall. We got to enjoy a really cool fragrance experience with Jo Malone where they told us about all of their amazing scents. Did you know that these fragrances were all designed for layering? They showed us so many fun combinations and sent us home with a bunch of fun samples!

We enjoyed some bites and drinks in one of the “living rooms” inside Saks and it was so much fun mixing and mingling with all the fashion and beauty bloggers I know and a bunch that I’d never met!

The event even had reps from Fashion Show Mall on hand to answer all of our questions and tell us about all the great shopping tips that are perfect for the holidays-

Valet- you can drop your car off at one valet and pick it up at a different one!Alterations- a number of stores inside
Fashion Show offer complimentary alterations to give you a custom tailored fit!

Personal shopping- most of the department stores and a few select boutiques have personal shoppers to help you find the perfect pieces!

Gift wrapping- Bring your receipt to guest services and get up to five packages wrapped for free!

We took home some fun goodies too- Kiko Milano nail polish, YSL samples and best of all- a Fashion Show gift card so we can get a jumpstart on our holiday shopping!

A huge thank you to Fashion Show Mall for the fun evening! As always, all opinions are my own.

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Spooky Soiree Halloween Brunch at 7th & Carson

When I first moved to Vegas, the Downtown area was not a place anyone really wanted to go.

Now, Downtown has some of the best restaurants and so much art and culture. We got to really enjoy one of the newer installments for our Spooky Soiree Halloween Brunch- we celebrated with a fun costumed event at 7th & Carson!

The space is beautiful- there are so many Instagram-worthy corners and spots. There's a fun outdoor patio and a great indoor space with an open kitchen concept and a full bar.

We began the afternoon with delicious watermelon cocktails on the outdoor patio. It was the perfect spot to gather and enjoy our Halloween "treats" which came in the form of Sugarpova Spooky Sour gummies, Pistache Skincare divine oils, Red Cherry Lash gift sets, and Purlisse sheet masks. All the perfect goodies for a relaxing weekend and Halloween fun!

Once everyone arrived, we shared a toast on the patio and then moved to a long set of tables inside the restaurant. The owner and chef were amazing and checked on dietary restrictions before they started bringing out the amazing dishes.

We started our meal with the Yogurt Parfait which had some awesome toasted granola along with berries and honey. We loved the gorgeous presentation!

Next we had the Grilled Peach and Burrata salad which was the perfect combination of salty and sweet with the bitter arugula and pesto. We also sampled the Breakfast Pizzetta which combined everything we love about breakfast and pizza (and was gone before I could get a good shot).

The Avocado Toast and Brioche French Toast (with a delicious lavender syrup) were delicious and so gorgeous. These standard brunch staples were all really amazing and had fun twists to make them more unique (and more delicious).

We finished our meal with the Chicken and Waffles which one of our foodies said were the best waffles she's ever had (and that's saying a lot). We devoured them quickly (hence the lack of photo) because they were so amazing!

We ended the event with another round of those amazing, spicy watermelon cocktails and we even took them outside for Boomerangs and photos. We all had such a fun time and everyone showed up in costume! We had a great variety of homemade costumes too (mine included since I had a pirate vest in my regular wardrobe).

A huge thank you to 7th & Carson for hosting our fun Halloween event! Thank you to Pistache Skincare, Sugarpova, Red Cherry Lashes, and Purlisse for the awesome event swag!
As usual, all opinions are my own.
