Tastemaker's Dinner at Masso Osteria with Scott Conant

I’m a huge Scott Conant fan so getting to attend his Tastemakers event last month at the brand new Masso Osteria at Red Rock was a huge deal for me! I loved DOCG when it was open at Cosmopolitan and I literally cried the day Eater Vegas reported that it closed. His Salted Caramel Budino is hands down my favorite dessert so I was thrilled to see it make a comeback at the new restaurant!

When Stephanie and I arrived at Masso, we honestly fan girled just a little... okay, maybe a lot. Scott Conant was honestly so sweet and chatted with us and let us take photos. Throughout the meal, he kept checking on us and was the most amazing host ever (and he’s beautiful).

The event menu was INSANE- when they say tasting menu, they aren’t kidding! We literally felt like we had tried the entire menu by the time we left! We couldn’t eat the food fast enough- every single time we broke into a dish, something new and even more amazing appeared!

We started with the Recco Style Garlic Bread, House Made Focaccia, and House-Made Stromboli.

Our next course was the Kale Salad, Antipasto Salad, Tuna Crudo, Classic Meatballs, Wood Roasted Clams Casino, and Wood Roasted Prawns.

For pastas, we tried the Pasta Al Pomodoro (I was super excited for this one because I’d tried it at an event a couple years ago and it was divine), Tagliatelle, Squid Ink Rigatoni, and Paccheri.

For main courses, we had the Tagliata Di Manzo, Cedar Roasted Whole Sea Bass, Wood Roasted Chicken, and Veal Chop Parmigiana. They also brought out a bunch of sides like the Beet Salad, Brussels Sprouts, Marble Potatoes, and Escarole della Nonna.

Finally, we were insanely full by the time dessert rolled around; however, you don’t skip dessert at a Scott Conant restaurant! My beloved Salted Caramel Budino was on the menu along with a Tiramisu Affogato and Basil Chocolate Mousse. I’m definitely coming back to sample the rest of the dessert menu ASAP!

We had so much fun celebrating the arrival of Masso Osteria! A huge thank you to Masso, Red Rock, and Chef Scott Conant for the amazing evening!!!

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Galentine's Day Brunch at Honey Salt

Being single doesn’t mean Valentines Day has to be a bummer. In fact, it’s way more fun spending it with girlfriends anyway! I don’t know any guys who would get dressed up for brunch, watch me scatter confetti, and sit patiently while I photographed our meal from every possible angle.

Lucky for me, I have a ton of girlfriends who will happily join me in doing just that. We got together a few days early for an amazing Galentine’s Day celebration at Honey Salt, one of the best brunch spots in town.

Stephanie and I got there super early to set up our table with the cutest Lulu In a Box pieces and a ton of really cool gifts from sponsors.

We had some amazing local bakeries send us delicious goodies (the softest cookies from The Sugar Cookie and some seriously fun boozy cupcakes from Sin City Cupcakes). We themed out the whole event so everything was perfectly girly and pink or red. The cookies were sweet and adorable and the cupcakes even came in a fun (and super yummy) gluten free lemon (with vodka).

How amazing are these Galentine’s Day chocolate boxes from Ethel M? We love supporting local and Ethel M is one of the best companies out of Las Vegas. They have an amazing chocolate factory that you can visit and a gorgeous cactus garden that they frequently decorate for holidays (their Christmas display is a local favorite).

I adore Not Soap Radio because their scents are always fun and their body washes double as really awesome bubble bath (without drying out your skin). I especially love the fun names and this Cupid wash was definitely a must have for Galentine’s Day!

We didn’t have flowers but these Rose Divine Oils from Pistache Skincare will last so much longer than roses anyway! We tried them out for the first time last year and were all obsessed with them so we were super excited to put them in our Galentine’s Day gift bags!

I’ve been using this Chapstick Duo nonstop ever since I got it. It’s super cute, easy to throw into my purse, and so moisturizing! I’m always on the hunt for new lip balms (Vegas is so dry) and I love this one!

Chesapeake Bay Candles are a household staple for me. Their scents are always warm and cozy so they’ve made it so much easier to get through the colder days!

These Violent Lips are so adorable and perfect for Galentine’s Day! I have some fun plans for those pink ones with the hearts!

To Go Spa has some seriously amazing lip masks. I originally wasn’t a fan of these kinds of lip masks because I’ve tried a few that really burned. These coconut ones don’t sting and left my lips feeling so soft and hydrated!

I love trying out new scents and this Zoella Beauty fragrance is so fun! I even love the cute girly bottle!

We got a fun selection of face serums from Bare Alchemy- they have one for every skin type!

Last but not least- I’m always looking for the perfect pink polish that looks pretty but not TOO pink and I think this Young Nails polish is the one! I peeked their other pink polished too and all of there were pretty and subtle!

Now, onto the food! We love Honey Salt- the food and the ambiance are awesome! We got to try a fun selection of their specialties and each ordered our own entree. Needless to say, we were stuffed!

We started with the Monkeybread.

I really wanted to try these Caramel Apple Pancakes and was so excited when they appeared at our table!

This Cocoa Puff French Toast was delicious!

I ordered the Corned Beef Hash BUT I snuck a ton of Stephanie’s Breakfast Nachos. And took a ton of pics of Alyssa's Benedict!

A huge thank you to our amazing sponsors and our partners at Honey Salt for hosting our Galentine’s Day Event!!! As usual, all opinions are my own!

Blogger Crawl at Forum Shops

Earlier this month, I got to join a fun blogger crawl at the Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace. The fun morning was organized by our good friend, Christie Moeller (of I Can Style U) and started at the secret VIP Valet inside of the Forum Shops.

We were greeted by a Centurion who was handing out mimosas (I wish I could start every Saturday like that) and we mingled for a little while until everyone arrived. Our handsome escort walked us over to Sephora (the mall wasn't even open yet so we had the whole place to ourselves).

We enjoyed champagne and breakfast pastries at Sephora while learning about fun new products in each department. We even got to play with some of the really gorgeous new shimmers from brands we already love (like Make Up For Ever, Stila, and Fenty Beauty

After Sephora, we headed over to Tory Burch for fruit cups and got to learn about the fun spring collection. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say we all wanted everything in the store.

Our last stop was Lululemon where we got to enjoy some fun refreshments and explore the store. Since it was right before Chinese New Year, it was fun to see how so many of the stores incorporated red themes and dog elements, especially Lululemon!

Before we headed out, we all got a fun group shot with our handsome Centurion and one of the best surprises of all- a VIP Valet card for the Forum Shops. Since so many properties have hefty parking fees these days, it's so nice to know we have one place where we can park and enjoy our day without the added cost of parking!

A huge thank you to the Forum Shops for hosting us and Christie for putting together yet another fabulous event! As usual, all opinions are my own!

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Chinese New Year at Hakkasan

I've always wanted to throw a really amazing Chinese New Year party.

In the past, we put out the Lazy Susan, eat vegetarian on New Year's Eve, and exchange red envelopes. While traditions are always fun, it was extra fun getting to enjoy a night with some of my favorite girls at a really amazing restaurant!

Most people only think of Hakkasan as a nightclub. While it's definitely a gorgeous club, the restaurant is amazing all on it's own. If you're looking for upscale Asian food, Hakkasan should definitely be on your radar. One of my favorite things about Hakkasan is the layout of the restaurant. Most of the bigger tables have an enclosed feel without being walled off. This allows you to have the feel of a private dining room without shelling out extra cash for one.

We dined on the exclusive Chinese New Year menu-

The Happy Daisy Cocktail.
They even made some gorgeous mocktail virgins for us!

Schechuan Wind Dried Oysters with Lotus Room, Braised Beef Tongue and Caramelized Walnut and Crispy Scallop in Sweet Plum Sauce.

For our main courses, we had Wok-Fry Native Lobster in Superior Stock, Rhug Estate Organic Lamb in Seaweed Soy, Baked Chilean Se Bass with Kumquat Glaze and Abalone Fried Rice in Bean Curd Wrap. Everything was so delicious!

In addition to our delicious entrees, Hakkasan was SO accomodating with food allergies and brought out some amazing gluten free substitutes for our gluten intolerant girls!

For desert, we all enjoyed individual servings of the Golden Fortune which was a delightful gingery caramel treat with lots of lemongrass flavoring. So good!!!

Of course, no Chinese New Year celebration would be complete without red envelopes and ours were filled with so many goodies from local businesses- we had giftcards from Axehole Vegas, Glam Parlor, Humble Bee, Plantone's Italian Market, Bowlology, Groundswell Cafe, and Gelato di Milano. We can't wait to use all these awesome goodies together!

A huge thank you to Hakkasan Group for hosting our amazing dinner and to our fabulous sponsors for the lucky goodies! As usual, all opinions are my own.
