Tuesday Travel Guide: Phoenix/Scottsdale- Where to Stay

Hey guys!

Phoenix and Scottsdale have some really nice hotels.

Of course there are the standard properties that you expect in any downtown area but there are also some sprawling resorts with amazing views and some adorable boutique properties with cool retro vibes. I've stayed in both the standard chain hotel and a sweet little boutique property but I also got to visit some of the other beauties that the area has to offer.

Where to Stay

My first visit we stayed at the The Scott Resort (formerly the Firesky). We absolutely loved the pool area; there was a larger one (full of kids) and a smaller, more secluded one. We even sat around the pool at night because it was just so pretty and relaxing! Our room was cute and had a nice little balcony for relaxing. The resort has a huge open lobby with a restaurant and bar area. They also have complimentary bikes you can use! The location was wonderful and really close to the Old Town Scottsdale area. It's also pretty close to all the shops and restaurants. So convenient! They even offer complimentary transportation for the shopping areas and Old Town; we didn't move our car once!

My second visit with my cousin, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix. It was pretty standard but the room was really nice and the hotel was very comfortable. They also had some pitchers of really great flavored water, perfect for the hot days. I think my favorite feature of this hotel was definitely the location.

On both trips, I got to swing by two pretty beautiful properties. The Phoenician was absolutely gorgeous, the property was beautiful and looked super luxurious. I would love to stay here for a spa weekend or something really luxe.

We also visited the Hotel Valley Ho which I thought was just the cutest place full of retro charm. One of my friends loves this hotel so much she got married here and the pictures were stunning!

Sanctuary at Camelback was really beautiful and we had plenty of time to wander before dinner. So much glass around the property to let in all the gorgeous views you can take in at once! Not to mention those amazing sunsets.

See you tomorrow for some great places to play and things to do in Phoenix and Scottsdale!
