Still trying to keep myself distracted...
So in 2010, Marissa and I took a road trip to Disneyland for my birthday. It was unseasonably warm (like 90s) so the parks were PACKED. We spent two days in the Disneyland park, no California Adventures. We started the morning with the character breakfast at the Grand Californian. After that, we headed into the parks for a while. Neither of us had been to Disneyland in years and years so there was a lot of ground to cover. Everything was decorated for Christmas so all the characters had on Christmas sweaters which was kinda funny in the heat.
We managed to get in a few rides in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland then we checked into our hotel across the street and changed for dinner. We got back to the parks and had a chance to ride Pirates of the Caribbean a few times when the lines were short (there was a parade or something). We then headed to Blue Bayou for my birthday dinner. I've never eaten here before but for someone who grew up on Cajun food, I have to say this was pretty good. The ambiance was AWESOME and seeing the boats go by was a lot of fun (especially hearing the screams during the drops haha).
After dinner we caught the fireworks and wandered a bit more before turning in for the night.
The next morning we headed to Paradise Pier for breakfast with my beloved Stitch.
We had originally planned to head home after this but since we didn't get to do much in the parks the day before (so many crowds), we decided another afternoon inside the parks was in order. We managed to catch a few more rides and attractions along with Downtown Disney before heading back to Vegas. Such a fun trip!
